Circuit Pattern
Operations at Balado
- All circuits are to the south.
- There will be two circuits. One will be at 600 feet inside the airfield boundaries with an outer limit of the golf ball.
- The second circuit will be at 1000 feet and will be very wide of the village of Balado.
- No aircraft is to overfly the village. Every attempt must be made not to produce noise over the village.
- Descent on the dead side should avoid overflying any of the houses around the airfield.
Runways at Balado
By Road
Take the M90 from Perth or Edinburgh.
From the North
If you are coming from the north then exit at junction 7 for Milnathort.
At the T-junction turn right towards Stirling and you will find the airfield after two miles on your left hand side.
From the South
If you are coming from the south then exit at junction 6 for Kinross and follow signs for Milnathort.
At Milnathort turn left towards Stirling and you will find the airfield 2 miles later.
